Mishka x Jokers of the Scene: Keep Watch Vol.1 Mixtape

This is why I love Mishka so much. Many who are into “streetwear” (and I used that term loosely) have a wide variety interests, as you can probably see from the eclectic group of blog posters contributing here. Mishka embraces really off-beat style and really follow their own interests and put that energy into their clothing line. While other “streetwear” brands (there’s that word again) are putting out hip-hop mixtapes, Mishka goes and releases a house/electro mix that doesn’t stink of shiny shirts and people wearing Bulgari sunglasses indoors (and at night). (don’t get me wrong, I love hip-hop. But I like all other kinds of music as well. AND, I’m kinda a house/electro/breakbeat DJ myself)

I was very excited to hear that they’d be releasing a series of mixtapes, and the first one from Canadian duo Jokers of the Scene.
I can say already with a great house/electro artist like Style of Eye in this tracklist, I can’t wait to throw this in my iPod for my next run.
