If you like liqour, and want to taste some of the best shit to hit shelves around, than you might want to mosy over to smirnoff.com to register for the taste test. Smirnoff No. 21 will be put up against some top competitors, just to prove to your tastebuds and stability that it’s the Real Deal. So be a real wino and Download the ConNOISsuer kit, ahora!!
So, from what I gather, 8 new characters, rebalancing for better competition. But they couldn’t patch the original SFIV because of new code, so it’s being sold as a separate but cheaper disc. And those who bought both will get a special undisclosed surprise from Capcom. Ok I’ll bite. I need to break out my arcade sticks again, they’re getting a bit dusty.
Something new to me is London-based A.IN.T, which recently dropped a few new images for their Fall/Winter Collection, shot by the UK’s BNTL.. I’m really feeling these graphic t-shirts, displayed in various toned-down colorways. And I will be looking for these about the UK accounts.
Aiight, hope you suckas had an auspicious weekend ( know I did).
Tokidoki released a new collaboration with NewEra, again. I’m feeling a sense of the style growing up. My last comments on their other hat was that it shouldn’t have been released and wasn’t plauseble; but…. the NewEra brand sort of covered for the lack of design in quality (it’s all about QUALITY nowadays). This new release features their TKD character with the Adios Amigos theme applied. Pretty simple, nice colorway; I can digg it. Get your own at www.tokidoki.it.
OBEY, one of my favorite companies, will be holding a Flash Mob gathering in the Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice, Ca. this Sunday. For those interested, it will be a 5 min procession where participants (anyone in Los Angeles and the Venice Area) will halt in place and display their Aung San Suu Kyi posters to “show their solidarity with Burma and raise awareness for her as the symbol of freedom” at 4 pm. At 4:05 pm, the attendees will then begin handing out flyers to anyone around them.
This will be a Causecast and Obey Giant collaboration. Causecast.org and a very noble act. Much appreciated for showing some love to those who are really in need.
Who: YOU! Anyone in Los Angeles and the Venice Area. Activists, artists, musicians, teachers, families, students…we need everyone.
When: THIS SUNDAY, Free Poster Pickup is from 10am -3pm. Flash mob is at 4pm-4:05pm
Where: ABBOT KINNEY FESTIVAL, Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice, Ca.
Sadly enough for me, I will be at AntiGravity, shredding the fuck out of all those ledges from 10 am to 4 pm. So I’m going see if I can get a poster mailed out to me with some flyers to show some Burma Love on the Eastcoast, feel me?
I won’t stress too much on getting these, I’m not gonna chase 10 colors, especially when I prefer the cloth shirt original 6″ NY Fats. (I may still chase the LA Fat figure though)… haha. But then again, these are 12″ tall… (hence the 6″ x 2 title, and how big they look next to a pair of shoes.)
Dammit. I do want these now that I realized the size. They got me. Ahhh they got me. Its working. Its working!!
Still haven’t pulled the trigger yet on that booq Python Blur bag. I still want it because it’s the best for my needs. However I just stumbled upon Nikon and PORTER’s collaboration on stylish camera bags. I wish I hadn’t seen these, it’s no secret I like Yoshida Kaban’s PORTER brand and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s HEADPORTER offshoot.
Check out the collection of bags, cases and straps. If I didn’t need a carry-all for a 17″ MBP and camera accessories, I’d probably pick up one of the totes.

Zoot Woman’s latest album, “Things Are What They Used To Be” (iTunes link) is essentially exactly what I wanted out of the next Zoot Woman album. Polished, complex, and catchy hooks, and not changing too much in a way that would alienate the fan base. And if you haven’t listened to their other albums, what the hell are you waiting for.
Really digging the new co-lab betwix Vans and New Era. Simple and subtle are words that come to mind, with an efficient logo embroidery on the front panel and the signature Vans logo on the back, just to round shit up. Where as to where these babies are sold, you might want to mosy over to the Vans site with your card security number ready.
I give Colin Callsen props, he designed a nice P-Rod III.
Colin has Burkitt’s lymphoma, and in Nike and Doernbecher Childeren’s Hospital’s 6th collaboration, he was given the chance to put his own spin on a Nike shoe. I would totally rock these if they didn’t have the little boyish marks like the skull and crossbones and the motorbikes.
Ahh who am I kidding, I’d probably still rock em.
They will be available in November at Niketowns and Nike.com
I’m still waiting for some really nice colorway in the P-Rod III, haven’t been thrilled with the suede offerings that are coming up in the winter months.
