Its been a while since KAWS did some BAPE shit. Probably the last time I bought a BAPE tee shirt as well. I think its been since he launched Original Fake 3 years ago. Now they collab again, but under the OF banner and not just KAWS’ good name.
The white will be available thru Original Fake, the black through BAPEXCLUSIVE, both probably exclusive to the Japan stores.
DSLR cameras taking high quality video is pretty damn awesome, and is not to be ignored. As an owner of a Nikon D90, the first DSLR to shoot video, I am somewhat intrigued by the ability to take video with my DSLR. This company Redrock already makes video gear accessories for cameras like the D90 or Canon’s 5D Mark II (and probably compatible with upcoming Canon Rebel T1i and Nikon D5000).
Check these pics out.
I’m still very green when it comes to still photography, so I’m no where near close to being ready to learn video and buy one of these rigs. But they’re pretty damn sweet. Full kits available at Redrock’s site
Comme des Garçons PLAY has found an ideal marketing strategy: Find an already beloved product, strip off its branding and slap on a couple of cartoon hearts. Bingo! Fashion gold. Considering their design trajectory, we thought we’d chime in with some suggestions (or are they predictions) for their next product. Behold, the Comme des Garçons PLAY fax machine, car, trash bin, milk jug! Look for them at Colette, Bed, Bath & Beyond, as well as your local Volkswagon dealer.
I started this blog 1 year ago. on tax day. Happy Anniversary blog
Looking back, I’m surprised I’ve been able to keep it up and going (relatively). It’s been an exercise in sticking to something, as well as just getting something out.
It originally was going to be a vehicle to get Radar/NOIS as a brand noticed, however the current economic crisis has sidelined my aspirations to launch a clothing brand by a little bit.
Rest assured, I still want to continue with a clothing brand.
However, it is disheartening when other independent brands speak of the struggles they’re currently going through… as well as not knowing if one of my favorite brands has gone under or not. (Maharishi). I mean, thats a brand that made me want to get into the streetwear biz to begin with.
Oh man, got my taxes out of the way, and I don’t owe nearly as much as I thought I was going to.
Got me a bit more cash, maybe I should spend it on a nice belt.
As an owner of a Bape belt already, (white bapesta camo), I probably don’t need this, although its refreshing to see one of their leather belts in a non-camo design. Bape may already be “played out” in some circles, but dammit, I liked Bape before mainstream hip-hop “discovered” it. I’m a Japanophile, remember?

I was at an Easter party last night and the CD playing in the background was this ridiculously awesome 80’s compilation. The musical stylings of Australia’s own Men At Work came on, and my leg started moving uncontrollably. I had to find the video on YouTube.

p.s. we’re 2 days away from the 1 year anniversary of this blog. time flies. and taxes need to be filed soon.
As someone who wasn’t a huge fan of the Shadowloo characters (except Cammy), I’m looking forward to this 2nd unplanned release. (Don’t get me wrong, the design and deployment of the first collab was great)
I’m definitely a World Warriors fan.
I pretty much would be interested in all of these shirts, maybe not Dhalsim. I’ll be sure to not miss out on the pre-order this time around.
