I’ll rock some otaku shit providing it looks good. These definitely look good.
Yoshida & Co, the makers of Porter, long time collaborators with Hiroshi Fujiwara to make Head Porter bags and accessories, have joined up with MUG and GAINAX to make some Evangelion limited goods to coincide with the release of the 2nd re-imaging movie of the hit anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, coming out this year.
Here we have this awesome waist bag, mostly black, but highlighted with EVA 01’s colors, green and purple, and an embroidered Unit 01 head. 21,000 Yen.
The wallet is not too shabby either. again purple and green, with the embroidered Unit 01 head. 12,000 Yen
And finally, the day pack, black, with the same highlights like the waist bag. 25,000 Yen.
All available through mashop.jp but you may need a buddy in Japan to grab em for ya.
Awesome weekend, had fun with my camera. Recovering from the weekend now. errrgghh….
My love for the white/volt colorway (like the AM90s from KAWS) and the Air Max 1 have been married into an awesome shoe that also incorporates a hexagonal nylon rip-stop toe box.

Re-watched Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey on Blu-Ray Disc over the weekend, and I’m still in awe with what they could accomplish with film back in 1968. I really picked up on the symmetry in that film this time around.
Speaking of, I stumbled upon artist 9 0 0 0 (a reference to HAL 9000) on flickr. Check out his stuff, I like his style.
Sorry for the lapse in blogging for the past two days. Not quite sure why I wasn’t able to come up with any material to write about yesterday and the day before. I did spend a healthy two days facebooking a lot though. Maybe it’s because there’s not quite a lot of things really going on in the blogosphere that have caught my attention. In fact, some of it is just plain loathsome.
For instance, what the hell is Nike SB doing?
Glenn Quagmire? Really? Have we completely run out of ideas? Even if I could say “Giggity” exactly like him and get as much tail as him, I would never ever buy these. Shit looks terrible.
Shoe game is really falling off you guys. With the economy as it is, you better come correct with some truly good design if you want to continue selling shoes. At least to this sneakerhead.

Whew, what a weekend. Had a blast, and recovered somewhat on Sunday.
Friday, KAWSONE.com unleashed a bunch of Original Fake accessories, and the Dissected Companion Be@rbricks. The 1000% sold out virtually immediately, and the 400% and the 100% soon after. I wasn’t too interested in the other stuff, but there’s plenty of other things to buy.
KAWS is one busy dude right now. With a gallery showing in LA right now, the cover of NEW YORK magazine, I wonder where he gets the time to do things like Lance’s new bike.
Damn. That’s it, like, that’s all I really have to say to commorate these fresh kicks. Vans has incorporated a new preforated body design ( I guess to allow comfort and air to those crusty toes of yours). vans.com
