Hey all. Hope your Thanksgiving was good!
After my second Thanksgiving meal, I stopped by FedEx Field to pay my respects at the Sean Taylor memorial. There were 5 people sitting out at the memorial with a propane heater. They had been sitting out there for about 5 hrs.
I wrote a message to Sean on the banner in the back with a sharpie. I made a memorial armband last year that said “RIP 21″, and I wore it to the game after Sean Taylor’s death (Vs. the Bills, the infamous Joe Gibbs 2 consecutive time-out penalty loss.). Since then I had been driving around with it displayed in the back window of my car. Being that it’s been 1 year since his passing, I felt that it was time to let it go, so I left the armband at the memorial. You can see it leaning up against the football in the front, in the photo I took.

After that, I went to Georgetown to line up at Major to cop a pair of the super limited Converse 1Hund(red) x Wood Wood Chuck Taylor Hi. They only got 8 pairs of them, and there are only 160 pairs in the US. Doors opened at midnight, however with them limiting how many customers could be in the shop at the same time, I didn’t actually make it into the shop until about an hour later.

The details on this shoe are beautiful. the perforations in the lavender suede on the outside look random, but if you look on the inside, the holes are actually part of a constellation pattern designed by Danish designer/shop Wood Wood. Probably some of the nicest Chucks I’ve seen, so I’m happy to add them to my collection.
Anyways, that was the extent of my Black Friday excursion, I’m staying well the fuck away from malls today.

As pop-up stores are becoming popular, brands are fighting for reps on the streets like skaters hate police. Just kidding, well about pop-up store; skaters hate police like Jamal Smith hates Nazis. Ubiq will be hosting an Obey Pop-Up Store in Philadelphia. There will be a reception Saturday, Dec. 6th with OBEY’s own Dj Pubes and Roam, dropping mad lyric (Zayas) in store. In addition to hot beats and mad lyric (Zayas), there will be a limited edition UBIQ x OBEY t-shirt dubbed, Let Freedom Ring. Although this so nice, it will only be limited to 125 pieces. Then the pop-up shop will be opened just after NewYears. via HighSnob

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Hopefully all have enough to eat and are with those who care for each other! If you’re camping out tonight for Black Friday, bundle up!!!
Also, today November 27th marks the 1 year anniversary of the death of Washington Redskins Safety #21 Sean Taylor. An extremely talented player, and was loved and is missed by his friends, teammates, family and all of Redskins Nation. His death had a huge impact on me emotionally, and I can barely believe it’s been 1 year. There is a Sean Taylor memorial set up outside FedEx Field today. I may try to make it out there today between Thanksgiving meals to pay my respects.

RIP #21! HAIL!

Being an active skater whose interest are set on clothes and more places to skate, I’m proud to know that a new shop has gone up in Los Angeles. Alex and Gian from Homeroom have opened up a pop-up store besides Reason NYC. On Sunset Blvd, the shop will showcase their San Francisco influenced designs to Southern Cali for 2 months, until January 15th, 2009. via HB

Nike dropped this limited quickstrike Manny Pacquiao tee at Fatlace San Francisco a few days ago in anticipation of the boxing matchup against Oscar De la Hoya on December 6th.
PacMan is sponsored by Nike, and is practically a national hero in the Philippines and to Filipinos worldwide. (Yep, all you registered nurses and housekeepers buying the PPV know who you are! hahaha) Colors are the same as Filipino flag, and done up in a similar fashion like the other “—– Knows” tees that they’ve been doing this year.
They’re all sold out, unfortunately!
