Some new innovative madness that just hopped out onto the market is the new Laptop Body Sock. This evolutionary new design is supposed to keep your body warm and get rid of that nasty screen glare. The Sock can be used with iPods, cell phones, etc. Google.com it if you want to purchase, it’s hard to find, so knit yours in the mean time.
There’s no way to exactly describe these tees, so just peep the picture and you will understand why you shouldn’t rock these to work, school, a party (most especially), your girl’s house, or even around the house. When you cop a shirt of this pedigree, frame it in bulletproof glass and hired a respected guard to look over it 24/7, 365 day a year. Well maybe not that much precaution needs to be taken, but just don’t wear it to a foam party, at least.
One of my most favored brands out there, OriginalFake, is dropping a new 59Fifty hat for sho sho. With their trademarked Kaws “X’s” embroided all around the hat, lid and visor and all of that, makes the hat specially exclusive. This 59Fifty is part of the Autumn/Winter collection that is steady dropping at select OriginalFake retailers.
The new G-Shock x Haze 25th anniversary watch has been released. With plain simplicity and coated in all white, with the strap in the back. The DW-5600 by Haze is now available in the official G-Shock online store for 130 USD. Just don’t swim with it on people, keep ish real.
Surpreme’s Fall/Winter 08 line-up is a collection of strong graphic tees and some of their cut and sew gear. Ranging from the football long sleeves to the raglan and striped long sleeves, they have managed to keep the colorways classic and at a maximum of 4 colorways for each shirt. Keeping it calm and collective for 08 they must be, wait for more gear on their released date.
Phenomenon is dropping some hard substances for the Fall/Winter seasons. Be prepared to be fresh all through the colder seasons, especially when the Phenomenon is pushing to lead the new and upcoming fashion trends. We are sure to expect some of the most craziest outfits from this brand, so be prepared.
Japanese brand Bounty Hunter has released yet another worthy collectable toy for those die-hard collectors of toys. The new figure is called Kumaru Kan, and will be well recieved and probably sold-out at release. They will be released at Bounty Hunter and their dealers on Sept. 6th.
Got a chance to check out what was happening at the Dunkxchange Las Vegas meetup on Sunday, 8/24 before checking out Sourcing at MAGIC. Kinda wished I stuck around longer at Dunkxchange, because Sourcing was pretty underwhelming. Not only was the sourcing hall dominated much by Chinese (I’d like to draw parallels to the Olympics), but quality of finished goods screamed “Made in China”. Yeah, I know some good stuff is made there, but exceptions don’t blot out the norm. Am I right? (Not a slight towards Chinese people by the way, I love you guys )
Anyways, I digress. Dunkxchange Day 2 in Vegas was held at the Ice House Lounge. After circling around, m4np and I got there. Here’s a photo.
Spot was jammed packed, not much room to move around. I immediately started to scan around, try to find some rarities. Not anything that really caught my eye. So I checked out the tables and talked to the dudes selling shirts.
TNES and his crew for HippoEsthetics. Nice guys, from Hawaii, brand based in Las Vegas. Check out their site here: www.HIPPOE.com
Anthony and the guys for El Legal. From Phoenix. Site is not updated right now, but can be contacted at www.ElLegalGoods.com
Fully Laced!www.fullylaced.com, where you can get laces all the colors of the rainbow, and also get RAH! Clothing. Big thanks to Jon for hooking me up with a free shirt! People from SF always seem to be some of the nicest people I meet.
Randy from RAD (Random Artistic Design), based in LA, designed this hilarious Japanese party shirt. Note the red cups and the DJ in the back. Party flyer on the flipside. Nice work Randy! www.radisrad.com
Here are more pics from the event, Hit the jump for more.
Wow. It’s been two days since I’ve been back from MAGIC/S.L.A.T.E and all I can say is how dangerous it would have been to leave me alone and unattended at that show. Mostly because I might have stolen at least a third of everything there. I didn’t realize going into it that to say MAGIC is a trade show is pretty much the biggest understatement ever. I had assumed it was a place where people had samples of what they were offering to buyers and that there would be some kind of general set up and that it wouldn’t be wall to wall clothing from EVERYONE EVERYWHERE AROUND THE COUNTRY AND AROUND THE WORLD. It was nuts. Things were broken down into women, men, kids, active/swimwear, then sourcing and s.l.a.t.e (which is the most absurd acronym ever)
Well, it was one of those things where you truly realize how small what you do is in the grand scheme of things- you know, kinda like taking an astronomy class.
Anyhow, between being hung over, over dressed, under dressed, and living it up large, I met some awesome people and partied hard. Oh, and I also got my ass kicked at Street Fighter.
This is my ass getting owned in Street Fighter 4 at the Triumvir stall.
Invizzibl Men “The Unveiling” OUT NOW on Backwoodz Studioz, 2008
If you’ve read my previous posts you should know by now how big a fan of Karniege, Marq Spekt, and Backwoodz Studioz I, GALLINAFALCO, am. Obviously I’ve been waiting in anticipation patiently yet anxiously for the debut Invizzibl Men (Karniege & Marq Spekt) album to drop like a deeply imprisoned turd into a lavatory basin; meaning I think this album is the shit. Its official release date was August 19th. I immediately purchased it via Itunes for $9.99.
Lately I’ve been making a lot of my purchases through Itunes. Fortunately indy hip hop albums are becoming more readily available on Itunes. Of course there are still those obscure albums that remain too exclusive to be available for digital download, in particular vinyl only and import only albums, which is pretty much bullshit.
Digital download politics aside, I believe this album is ill. The Unveiling features vocal appearances by Vordul Mega, Billy Woods, C-Rayz Walz, Broady Champs, Vast Aire, Access Immortal, & Akil Nuru. Also featuring production by Jaz Infinite, Tef, Illastrate, DJ Wreckon, Khalid Salaam, Omega One, & Amdex. The majority of the production on this album is nice. The Unveiling is crucial. I highly recommend checking out tracks 7, 9, & 14. Those in particular are certified bangers. The rest are more down tempo, but decent none the less.

Vordul Mega “Mega Graphitti” OUT NOW on Backwoodz Studioz, 2008
August 19th was the simultaneous release date of Vordul Megallah’s “Mega Graphitti” also on Backwoodz Studioz. This is Vordul’s third solo album since Cannibal Ox decided to disband (so it would seem). I will repeat myself with sincerity and conviction that Vordul is one of my favorite hip hop artists without a doubt. I didn’t even have to give this album a pre-listen. I knew I’d like it before it even dropped. Some of the material I have heard before, but I still dig it as if it’s the first time hearing it. I also purchased this album via Itunes for $9.99.
Mega Graphitti features vocal appearances by Vast Aire, Billy Woods, Tommy Gunn, HiCoup, Karniege, Mark Spekt, Creature, & Keith Masters. Production by Zach One, Opto, Bond, Marmaduke, Bronze Nazareth, Lex Boogie, Sid Roams, Armyfatigue, Ravage, El-P, & Essex Dogs. This album is 15 tracks deep and sure to remain in the rotation for the next several months at minimum. You best not sleep!
For more info about these artists and albums visit the updates section of www.backwoodzstudios.com. I’ve been writing this post for about 30 minutes and I need to get some sleep so I’m not gonna go into it like I know these dudes personally. But I certainly appreciate the music enough to sing their praises.
Check this video for “Mega Graphitti” from Vordul’s album of same name:
BUY BOTH ALBUMS NOW! Do it. No no no no, do it. Do it. If you need a little incentive, the Itunes versions of each album feature a Bonus Track which, as far as I know, is not available on the CD version.

Ugh… Day after Vegas… not adjusting to Eastern Standard Time too well… Playing catch-up with a lot of correspondence. Blogging should resume as normal soon, but here’s a quickie.
Dude in Tokyo was arrested for having 51 venomous snakes in his apartment (poisonous is a bit of a misnomer when describing snakes). Owner of black mambas, cobras, rhinoceros vipers, etc. Police found out about his collection after he ran into a hospital with a bite from one of his green mambas.
I totally thought this guy was my friend Lary for a second, but remembered Lary is in Montana, not Tokyo. And Lary probably would have just took some aspirin and went to bed instead of run to a hospital.
