Server Woes

The past two days the server has been giving spotty connectivity. I contacted the web host and they have just become aware of a technical issue with that particular server. A trouble ticket has been submitted. Hopefully it gets resolved asap.

New HADOUKEN! PV: Crank It Up

Filed under: music, music video — NOIS29 @ 3:35 pm

Since I’m pretty much just posting updates to topics touched on previously, and despite the fact that I got sick of listening to the album after 2 weeks of non-stop play, and my box set that was sent from the UK included a T-Shirt that made me look like a sausage (I specified M, got S) and was denied an exchange since they were free promotional items, I bring to you this new video. (Don’t you love my run-on sentances? My 4th grade teacher would bitch slap me if she read this.)

NIKE SB FUJI ROD – Japan limited Sail/NeonYellow Colorway [UPDATE]

Filed under: Japan, Nike, Sneakers, fashion, skateboarding — NOIS29 @ 1:47 pm

Did I mention I want these shoes? Yeah, I think I did.

New details emerge from Honeyee.com

The sale of these shoes will be from May 31st 12:00 ~ June 2nd 12:00 here. Price is ¥16,590.

Ordering from Honeyee.com means you have to have a Japanese address. Only sizes 8~11 US will be available. (26.5cm ~ 29cm in Japanese shoe sizes). You better believe these are super limited as well.

Did I forget to mention the ordering is a lottery? Not all orders will get it. After June 2nd, those who are picked will be notified by email.

Yeah, I got an agent handling my purchase :) I’ll update you all if I snagged a pair or not. (あざーっす、エリさん!)

Here are more pics.

UPDATE 6/03/08: Nope, didn’t get it as planned. However I did find a pair on eBay from a nice seller in Osaka. Apparently he had a few. Dished out more than I planned to get them, but fuck it. They’re limited edition Japan only, so it’s all good.

Wii Fit

So, I’ve had my Wii Fit for 1 week now. played it 3 times. Total of about 2.5 hrs. Do I feel fitter? Not really. Am I more conscience about fitness? Yeah, but am worried that it will scold me for missing 3 days in a row.

But this vid has given me motivation to get back on it today. And it’s also given me motivation to find a girl to work out with.

Transition Bikes X Pabst Blue Ribbon!

Filed under: bike — badmothahucka @ 3:24 pm

I know how you all love a good collabo. Here’s one I bet you didn’t see coming! Pabst Blue Ribbon has been for quite some time the unspoken beer of choice among Mountain Bikes everywhere and Transition Bike Company has long been a personal favorite of mine. This particular model, the Bottle Rocket is one of the hottest selling slope-style bikes available today. Each frame features hand cut labels that are placed by hand, thus assuring no two bikes are the same. This of course is a limited run, so like everything else you snooze you lose. Data swindled from Pinkbike.com

Nike Dunk Hi Premium “St. Pauli”

Nike and German soccer club FC St. Pauli from Hamburg got together to bring you this awesome pair of dunks. Although I not a huge soccer fan, I’m a fan of dunks and this one is sweet! This team is not really known for their playing ability but rather their rebel attitude. I know the whole pirate theme (skull & crossbones) is played out but whatev. I’ve been drawing skulls on all my shit since like 6th grade.

Mid-week PV round-up: 4 day work week edition

Filed under: music, music video — NOIS29 @ 12:02 pm

I’m in a musical mood at the moment so I’m throwing up some vids. Enjoy!

Crystal Castles – Courtship Dating

Thanks to doubletap for turning me onto this Canadian duo. You might have heard something similar before. Timbaland may (or may not have) jacked it for 50 Cent’s Ayo Technology. But I think I know which one I like better.

-

Land of Talk – Speak To Me Bones

More Canadians, from Montreal. There’s something hot about a front-woman who can sing while strumming out those dirty-ass chords. Love it. They’re in their Euro tour right now, with a full length album out soon. Hope they follow up with a NA tour.

-

Zoot Woman – Grey Day

g.maxim takes all the credit for turning me onto Zoot Woman. Can’t wait for their 3rd full-length to come out, and maybe some day they’ll leave the comfort of the European Union and show the few fans across the pond some love? Maybe the US is not ready for them yet still.

-

The Velvet Teen – Tokyoto

Off their Cum Laude! album (Their 3rd full length, and definitely most experimental album). Awesome band, however I’m not sure how they sound at the moment since shuffling of members has happened a few times. (except frontman Judah Nagler). Looking forward to hearing their next offering.

-

Adam Tensta – My Cool

Swedish MC Adam Tensta, saw this video on the Mishka Bloglin. Like the song, checked out his album, I think this is my favorite song on the album (sometimes I’m a real sucka for catchy hooks). Curious to see what the rest of the Swedish Hip-Hop scene is like.

DJ HASEBE feat Bonnie Pink & Verbal – GET OUT!

This song came out like 5-6 years ago, but it popped up on my iPod recently during a shuffle. Haven’t been keeping up with what DJ Hasebe has been doing lately, but Bonnie Pink has definitely changed her style from her Swedish-produced retro-pop style (by Cardigans producer Tore Johansson ) to a more current pop style. English speaking Japanese born Korean tri-linguist Verbal you may know from m-flo, but probably recognize him as a member of BAPE Records Japanese hip-hop group TERIYAKI BOYZ. You need to be bi-lingual to appreciate Verbal’s flow, he says some crazy mixed english/japanese shit that makes you think. i.e. “When I come through I 貫通” [kantsuu = penetrate] (Man, I miss the days of PLANET SHINING, and when Lisa was still with m-flo. Good times.)

Nike SB x Hiroshi Fujiwara P-Rod II “Fuji Rod”

Filed under: Japan, Nike, Sneakers, fashion, skateboarding — NOIS29 May 27, 2008 @ 3:29 pm

I don’t own any of Paul Rodriguez’s signature NIKE SBs, and the black colorway of the Fujirod was cool, but not a must. (I swear, I don’t buy everything Hiroshi Fujiwara puts his name on!) …but yeah, I’ma have to jump on these suckers. Looks like the colors on the heel and the Fragment Design logo are a nod to Fujiwara’s and jeffstaple’s new PRISM collection. Release date May 31st at the Honeyee store. Looks like I’m going to have to call in a favor to snag a pair.

Filed under: NY, fashion — badmothahucka @ 3:11 pm

Yeah so I’m a whore for ALIFE. Too bad NYC is like 5 hours away. Anyhow if any of you are in the area check them out. ALIFE never lets you down and I make it a point to stop by anytime I’m in the city.
